Undugoda Animal Husbandry and Development Training Centre
Introduction
This institute is run as a residential training center for animal husbandry managed by the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Animal Production and Health Department and consists of a training center and a model animal farm.
History
The center was started as an animal farm in 1948 as a concept of the late Prime Minister DS Senanayake. 30 years later, in 1978, it was converted into a training center under the auspices of the German Hunger Eradication Campaign. After the completion of this project in 1982, until now, Sabaragamuwa Provincial Animal Production and Health Department has been conducting control activities.
